Programme Assessment
Assessment includes assignments, case studies, and mini projects as internal evaluation, and semester project presentations and portfolio reviews as semester-end assessment.
Evaluation emphasises creative problem-solving, design aesthetics, project viability, technical skills, and professional attitude.

- During the programme, students complete three internships – at the end of the 2nd, 4th, and 6th semesters – which provide them with a clear understanding of the industry landscape. The Capstone Project in the final year is guided by the industry, NGO sector, startup incubators, and the CMRU School of Design, enabling students to define a clear focus on their professional path after graduation.
- Graduates can work as product designers, design engineers, or product managers. They are equipped to design a wide range of products, from consumer electronics to furniture, contribute to innovations in product design and development, become design entrepreneurs, or further contribute to academia.
- They are skilled in working with diverse materials, designing precise visualisations of products, and making prototypes. They understand usability, sustainability, functionality, and aesthetics of products across industries, and apply Design Thinking as creative problem-solvers.

Complete your Design Aptitude Test (CMRU DAT) or upload your NATA, NID, NIFT, or UCEED results.
Students who successfully complete the CMRU DAT are eligible for a CMRU DAT scholarship based on the test results. There are no separate charges for taking the CMRU DAT.

Once you apply, an email confirmation is sent to your registered email ID and a counsellor will call you. You will also receive a unique link by email where you can upload your portfolio.
Personal Interview
Once you successfully complete the above steps, you will be invited to attend a personal interview either online or at our campus.
Confirm your admission
Candidates who successfully complete the entrance exam will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
The admission offer letter will be sent by email, along with a link for the online payment of the first instalment of ₹50,000/-.
The schedule for the remaining fee payments for the academic year 2025–26 will be communicated by email.
